Good evening. Happy Father's Day to all the fathers that read this!! I hope you had a great day.
Things are about the same around here. We still don't know anything about the house. Well, we did get a letter saying they got all our paperwork. So we will see. I will keep you posted.
David is doing ok. He still doesn't have that much of an appetite. He is enjoying his summer break, though! He is a typical teen in that he stays up pretty late, and sleeps in late. It is so good to see him doing something a normal teen would do!!
Our weather has been great! It has been in the 70's, and next week should be in the low 80's. It has been beautiful!! We do have the swamp cooler ready, but we haven't needed it; with the exception of a couple days a couple of weeks ago. So I am not complaining about the weather!!
I got a call from UCSF Medical Center and they let me know about David's surgery. It will be on the 28th at 1:30. We have to be there 2 hours early! We will still have to go to San Francisco the day before, we don't want to have to leave at 6am on Monday!!! We want to make sure we get a good night's sleep before surgery. It will be a long day, though. We figure we won't get out of UCSF until around 4:30~~~rush hour!! Woo-hoo!! So it might be a rather late night. At least David can sleep on the way home, providing his pain is well controlled. I can't believe surgery #11 is only a week away! I am so happy that this will (hopefully) be his last surgery for a year! When this surgery is over he will have had 11 surgeries in 32 months!! So it will be nice to have a break. It will be nice to know that we don't have to think about a surgery for quite some time. That is so wonderful!!
Please remember David in your prayers. Please pray that he will be calm when the time comes for this surgery. Last time he was very nervous; who could blame him? But I would just like him to have some peace and calmness as he prepares to go 'under the knife', AGAIN!! Please pray for us as we have to watch our baby wheeled off into surgery, AGAIN!! Have I told you how tired I am of watching that?!?! Well, I am. Thank you for your prayers.
David's post-op is scheduled for July 22, so I will be contacting Connie about David's scans being the 23rd. That will mean another night in the Bay Area, but that can't be helped. We usually stay in Emeryville at the Courtyard; that is the cheapest place we can find. Bryon does get a discount, so that helps.
Got the news, Joey's scans came back clear!! YAY! Go, Joey!
Well, that is the news for now. Thank you for your prayers, please keep them coming! I will let you know if we find out anything about the house. Have a good evening. God bless you all. We love you.
