Good evening.

We had a pretty good time in Reno on Saturday. Saturday was 'Childhood Cancer Awareness Day.' The whole month of September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. Anyway, we had fun. The weather was perfect!

David is doing ok with school. He had an 'Elluminate' session today~~it is a live teaching session. It was in English, and it is just like he is sitting in a classroom. The teacher is lecturing, and the kids can ask questions. We could hear the questions from the other kids. David really enjoyed that session. It is totally interactive~~he had to answer questions and everything! He is enjoying school, so far. Thank you for your prayers for him; please keep them coming! He is trying to get caught up, it will take a bit of time, but I know he will get there.

Please pray for David. He is having a bit of trouble with his prosthesis. He can't stand on his leg right now; he says it feels like the implant is 'loose' or something. He says he thinks it is the knee, but can't really tell exactly where it is. Our surgeon is in San Francisco!! We don't know if maybe he twisted wrong, or what. It just happened after he emptied the dishwasher. He was ok in PT today (other than tired and sore), so we don't know what happened. He is not in any pain, so that is a good thing. Please pray that this 'problem' resolves itself, and he wakes up fine tomorrow morning. Thanks.

That is about all that is happening. Thank you for all your love, prayers, and support. Thank you for your notes in the Guestbook. Please continue to pray for Peter and Vicki. God bless you all. We love you.

Several childhood cancers continue to have a very poor prognosis, including: brain stem tumors, metastatic sarcomas (that is what David has), relapsed acute lymphoblastic leukemia, and relapsed non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.
