Good evening. Bear with me, this will be a long post. I want to let you know it all.

David's oncology appointment went well. We got the results of David's scans. I am going to quote what the results were. First the chest CT~~~ "There are multiple foci of presumed scarring from prior thoracotomies, but no new lung nodules are identified to suggest recurrent pulmonary metastases." Praise God, CT scan is clear!! Whew! Now the bone scan~~~ "Mild right convex thoracic curvature is again noted. Again noted is some increased activity in the right femur, immediately above the prosthesis, and some additional activity a few centimeters lower, in the region of the prosthesis. There is also mild increase in activity in the lateral soft tissues adjacent to the distal femoral portion of the prosthesis, similar to prior exams. No new lesions are identified. Impression: Stable examination. There is some increased activity near the right femoral prosthesis, unchanged. No sign of metastatic disease." Bone scan is clear!! Whew! We can breathe for another 3 months! But the doctor said they will be keeping an eye on his spine curvature. They told us that the thoracotomies can cause that. So we will just be watching it. But that is so minor compared to cancer! But of course, David had to throw some kind of curve ball!! But we are so relieved with the results. Praise Jesus!! Thank you so very much for your prayers; they work!!

David did well in PT today. Bryon got to go because he didn't work today. Today was his furlough day, unpaid day off! One day a month Bryon has an unpaid day off! Just what we need, financially. Oh well. God is still in control. And David has no new metasteses, so life is good.

Thank you for visiting and checking in on David and the Koury Klan. Please keep the prayers coming! God bless you all. We love you. {{HUGS}}

We are continuing to see late deaths of children presumed “cured” due to late relapses, toxicity and secondary malignancy.
